Emirates is the subsidiary of Emirates group. This group is the subsidiary of Dubai government’s Investment Company, Investment Corporation of Dubai. This airline company mints profit like anything.
According to reports, the growth of the airline company has never fallen below 20% a year. It has doubled in size every 3.5 years in the first 11 years.
In the year 2015, the airline company paid dividends worth AED 2.6 billion as compared to AED1 billion in the year 2014.
The sole owner of the company is the Dubai Government. However, it does not put any more money into it.
